Most tuning companies remap your car using a bought-in map, a generic file built for a version of your engine, not your actual car. We don’t do that at Mallory Park Service & Repair.
Our Maha 4WD MSR 500 dyno is equipped with a fan system specifically engineered to simulate real-world road conditions, replicating the airflow your engine experiences while driving. That matters because an engine that runs at one temperature on a static dyno can behave very differently on the road. Our maps are calibrated to account for this, which means the gains you see on the dyno are the gains you actually feel through the pedal.
Every map we write is built from scratch by our in-house tuner. Not bought in, not a generic file dropped onto your ECU, a true bespoke tune, and it stays that way every single time.

With a mobile remap, we install pre-built software that has already been developed and validated on our dyno and tested on the road. It’s a proven tune for your engine type, applied at your home or workplace. A dyno remap goes further.
Your car runs live on our rolling road and the map is written around what your specific engine is doing in real time. The dyno option is particularly suited to modified vehicles, or where the customer is looking for a fully custom setup built around upgraded hardware such as a larger turbo, uprated fuel system, or performance modifications.
A dyno remap is an ECU tune carried out with your car running on a rolling road dynamometer. Rather than applying pre-built software for your engine type, the tuner writes and adjusts the map in real time based on what your specific engine is doing under load. Power, torque, fuel delivery, ignition timing, and boost pressure are all monitored and refined until the map is right for your car. It’s a more involved process than an off-dyno remap, and the result reflects that.
It depends on the type of remap and how you drive. If fuel economy is the priority, we offer economy-focused remaps that are particularly popular with turbocharged diesel cars and vans. These improve the engine’s efficiency rather than chasing peak power figures.
Turbocharged diesel engines in particular tend to respond well, gaining noticeably more torque in the process. That extra torque means the engine doesn’t have to work as hard to maintain speed or pull a load, which is where the fuel saving comes from. It also makes a practical difference for towing, with the vehicle pulling more easily and the engine under less strain.
It varies depending on your engine, its condition, and what modifications are in place. Turbocharged engines, particularly diesel, tend to have the most headroom in the factory map and often see the largest improvements. A Stage 1 on-dyno remap on a turbocharged diesel can deliver gains in the region of 20 to 30 percent in power and torque. Naturally aspirated engines see more modest improvements.

A typical on-dyno remap takes between two and four hours, depending on the vehicle, the level of tune, and how the engine responds during the session. We don’t rush the process. The map is refined until it’s right, not until the clock runs out.
A Stage 1 on-dyno remap suits vehicles in standard or near-standard condition. It extracts the best possible performance from your engine as it stands, tuned live on the dyno for your specific car. A Stage 2 on-dyno remap is aimed at vehicles with supporting hardware upgrades, such as an uprated intercooler, exhaust, or induction kit. The map is built to work with those modifications rather than around them, which is where the real gains of a Stage 2 setup are unlocked.
We use a Maha 4WD MSR 500 rolling road dynamometer. It’s a four-wheel-drive capable dyno, meaning we can tune AWD, FWD, and RWD vehicles without limitation. Our setup includes a road-simulation fan system engineered to replicate the airflow your engine experiences on a real road, rather than the standard industrial fans most facilities use. That distinction matters because how an engine breathes on a static dyno affects how the map performs once the car is back on the road.
An engine’s behaviour changes depending on the air it receives. On a standard dyno with a basic industrial fan, the airflow reaching the engine is different from what it would see driving at speed. A map built under those conditions can behave differently once the car is back in the real world. Our road-simulation fan system is specifically engineered to close that gap, so the tune we build on the dyno translates accurately to how the car performs on the road.
